More or Less

October 19, 2009

Good Saturday morning everyone!

I'll be adding more stuff to my Etsy store throughout the morning!

And I'm also adjusted the prices to a little less than what they were before!

More Calendar

October 18, 2009

I've put together a few more months for my calendar!

Here's March, November and December.

For March, I wanted a boy-ish/spring theme because that's my little guy's birth month!

November and December are the only ones that have a title right now. And I still have yet to find a stamp set with small numbers, so I'm on the lookout for that.

I'm really enjoying the colour-combo challenge this project has provided for me. Next up - I have to tackle the six in-between months!

Advent Conspiracy Project - Sneak Peek

October 16, 2009

This year, my sister's church (the church I grew up in) is participating in the Advent Conspiracy.

If you don't know what it is, here's a link to check out what it's all about: http://www.adventconspiracy.org/

Anyway, she's helping out with organizing it and she asked me to make some cards to give as a "thank you" to people who donate items.

Here's a sneak peak of parts of the cards:

I'm really excited about this project. It's my first big card project (... okay, second. My first big, huge one was my wedding thank you cards but I'd like to put that behind me) so I hope it turns out well!

Scott's Birthday Card

October 14, 2009

We have yet another birthday party to attend this weekend! This time it's a boy's birthday party!

I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use these cute little robot stamps from Stampin' Up! and this was it!

Calendar

October 2, 2009

While surfing around the internet, I stumbled upon Traveling Mama's site. I am absolutely in love with her style and beautiful photography!

One of the projects she's shared is a calendar and I was immediately drawn because 1. I wanted to do a calendar project for 2010, and 2. her project uses up scraps!

I'm always on the look-out for projects that will help me use up scraps because it breaks me up inside to throw anything away. I mean, come on people. You paid a pretty penny for that paper and you obviously bought it because it's beautiful. So why waste it?

Anyway, right now, I'm just working on putting the little squares on the pages. It's pretty time-consuming but rewarding. I think it's taking longer than necessary because I'm having a lot of trouble with colour-combinations. It's just not my forte!

So far, I have January, February and October. I'll have to think of some way to add the title and decorate them up when I'm done the other months but that'll come later.

I'm just really loving this project right now!
