You've Got Mail

I love mail more than ever now.

I've always loved mail. I check the mail every single day hoping to get something (does that sound greedy?). I think this all started back when I started getting letters in the mail. That was the most exciting thing ever.

Then, as my friends started traveling more, I got postcards in the mail. Even when I go on vacation, I send myself postcards! Really! I'm not crazy. I just want to have a memory of that trip for myself so one day, I can put all my memories together. I send Nathan postcards too so he'll have memories of our trips when he grows up.

Anyway, what was I talking about again? Oh, yes. I love mail.

It makes me sad when my mailbox is empty. Even if I get bills, I'm okay with that. But the best thing to get in the mail? A small package... which is what I got today!

Yay! Another stamp set (Cheep Talk) is here! And this time, I have to give a big thanks to Alison for sending me this set as a thank you for joining her team and for her super speedy mailing! Wheeee!

I love love love this set because of the cute little birdies. They're so... well, cute! I'm just a little bit intimidated by this set though, because unlike my problem yesterday (with having 'too little' images), this one has lots and lots of tiny images! So now I have to figure out which one goes with which block!


I don't know what to do! Oh wait, yes I do. I should go have lunch with my husband. We have a date.

My second SU! stamp set (Yummy) arrived in the mail last night and I literally cheered when my husband ever so nonchalantly asked if I knew anyone from Vancouver.

While wandering through all those amazing crafty blogs out there, I discovered this set. All those amazing crafts and the cute sentiments! Once I set my eyes on it, I coveted it. I had to have it. The only problem? It was a retired set! WHAT?! Yeah, retired. Which meant there was no way possible I could get my envious little hands on them, except... a wonderful Kari Metzger just happened to be getting rid of a set. A brand new set!

I emailed her right away and a few days later, it showed up at my doorstep.

I am overjoyed. Ecstatic. Over myself with happiness.


I can't wait until Christmas rolls around. I'll bet a package filled with ooey gooey cookies would make an awesome gift. But a package of ooey gooey cookies with a tag that says "a little yummy for your tummy"? Even better.

So It Begins

Almost 2 weeks ago, I signed up to be a Stampin' Up demonstrator (with the amazing Alison Solven as my upline!). My starter kit arrived at the beginning of this week! I could hardly wait to get into the box but my husband held it hostage until I got my assignments done.

Last night, I finally put together my very first SU! stamp set (Pun Fun). I thought it'd be challenging to put all the pieces together because I'm pretty particular about the way things look. I mean, I even had to sit there and decide which side of the block I wanted showing through the sticker! Who does that?!

Anyway, I finally aligned everything the way I wanted and here's what it looks like:



Not bad for my first time, eh? I thought it'd be a pain to assemble the stamps myself but it's totally not! I'd do it for you if you pay me! (Seriously. Someone's gotta fund my new hobby!) I can't wait to get my next set(s).. so now I'm off to peruse through the catalog! So long!
